Phoenix Spectrum Mall Phoenix Arizona
Phoenix Spectrum Mall, formerly known as Chris Town Mall, is centrally located on Bethany Home Road, between 15th and 19th Avenues. Easily accessed from Interstate 10 and Interstate 17, Phoenix Spectrum Mall is an older mall, built in 1961. Designed in the earlier area, Phoenix Spectrum Mall has been expanded and re-purposed at least twice since those early days, including the name change and the addition of a Costco and a Walmart. Phoenix Spectrum Mall hours of operations are from 10 am to 9 pm, Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 pm on Sundays. Holiday hours will vary.
In the 1970’s Phoenix Spectrum Mall was expanded and a movie theater and a Dillard’s were added as well as several small shops. Anchored now by Wal-Mart, Costco, Dillard's, Petsmart and Ross Dress for Less, and the more recently added JCPenny’s, this smaller mall is working to be competitive with newer malls in the area, like Paradise Valley Mall to the east. The Wal-Mart has also been expanded into a 250,000 square foot supercenter. Phoenix Spectrum Mall features more than 90 shops, including the 5 anchors, including a Walgreen’s and Bank of America. The United Artists Theater offers THX stereo systems.

Phoenix Spectrum Mall also features a food court with a good number of restaurants to choose from, including the very popular local favorite, Miracle Mile Deli. There is also a Krispy Kreme Doughnut Shop on the mall’s property. The addition of the newer shops, along with the more modern façade has successfully brought this once outdated into the new millennium.
